<a href=""></a>

The IRS is supposed to process all refunds with the 8379, including the stimulus. Unfortunately, it takes 8 weeks to process it if you mailed in the form only after finding out the money was to be offset. In order to get the money back this year the form needed to be filed before October 1st. If you file and most of the money was refunded and they simply missed the stimlus, you need to contact the IRS before October 20th.

Once it gets past those dates, there is no guarantee they could split and retieve the money before 12/31.

When did you file? If not with your return, it can take a couple months. There isn't an additional form to file for the stimulus.
