So..in other words…we are just getting our own money to spend and next year won’t get it back in our return? Anyone know about this? Thanks

I asked that when I filed my taxes, and was told no, it is a completely seperate issue that has nothing to do with our taxes.

The stimulus package is a way for people to gain money in hand and the government want people to spend that money to be able to spread the wealth to help economic situations that the US is going through right now. With people spending money companies and businesses will be able to hire people and there will be more job openings. People will be able to spend money and the economy should go back to normal. The only question is will it work or will more action be needed to be taken?

to my understanding…. 3000 min earned wages, you get a min of 300, if you had no taxable liabilty, and 600 min if you did. you will receive either the min or your taxable liability, which ever is less in may…. whatever is left over will be a credit on next yrs tax return.
