    Approximately 6-8 weeks.

According to HR Block, You should expect to wait at least three weeks for a paper check to be mailed to you, once the IRS has accepted your return. It will be much faster if you chose direct deposit.

You can check the status of your refund at 1-800-829-4477 or go to and click on Where’s My Refund

The sooner you file, the sooner your refund will come. Having said that, you should be aware that the present tax legislation before Congress might delay all refunds for a few months unless it is passed pronto.

6-8 weeks could be more or less.

I mailed mine in Feb 19, and it got processed 5 weeks later, March 30, and said my refund would be here by april 27th, but I got it 3 days later because i did direct deposit (today april 2, 2010). Check the website, once you mail it in. http://www.irs.gov/individuals/article/0,,id=96596,00.html You need you ssn, date you mail in taxes and return amount. Hope this helps
