I have a question about the 2008 IRS stimulus checks. Because of my social, I am supposed to receive mine?

mine on the 30th. Does that mean it will be mailed out on the 30th or does that mean thats when I will get it? Also, I haven’t received any kind of notice, I read on the IRS’s website that there would be two notices sent out about the checks.

    i have not received the notices either. i don’t think a lot of people have. the date the irs is posting is the mail by date, not the date you are going to receive it.

    If it says the 30th it means that it will be mailed no later than the 30th, which means it could be mailed ON the 30th and you wouldn’t get until like the 2nd. I don’t know about the notices, we havent received one either.

    I did receive a notice and it said how much I would be receiving and when it will be mailed out it said it would be mailed out on or before May 16th and I received it on May 19th

    It will be mailed BY the 30th. So you should have it the next week, or maybe even by the 30th if you get lucky and yours gets mailed out a little early.

    Generally that means that it will be prepared and mailed sometime that week. If yours is mailed on Tuesday (Monday is a holiday) you might get lucky and have it in hand by the 30th. More than likely you’ll receive it the following week as it does take a few days for the Postal Service to do their thing.

    My letter stated the 23rd and I received it on the 23rd, it all depends on your post office after IRS mails the checks.
