According to the IRS website, anyone who filed their taxes and recieved a refund via direct deposit should have received thier stimulus payment the same way – through direct deposit – no later than today, May 16. I didnt receive mine – has anyone? It seems many have not – why not?

I’ll bet if you check your bank records your original refund is either after 4/15 or has an ach notation that *isn’t* US Treasury 220.
I’ll also bet that if you go to irs.gov and click on where’s my refund, then follow the links to where’s my stimulus, that you don’t get a message giving you a date and method.
To Mommyrey–you were *NEVER* guaranteed $1200 for mom and dad, it was a range of $600 to $1200 with the higher number only if you actually paid that much in tax. Your odd amount generally means your actual tax bill was $733 and $733+$600 = $1333.

Many have received it.
If you did not provide your bank account information on your tax return, you will get by papaer check.
In the first lot only those whose return was processed by April 15, 2008 are getting the rebate.
Go to. Click Where is my Refund? Then click Status of my Stimulus Rebate. or #01-866-234-2942

here is somthing funny….if you used Direct Deposit with TurboTax, and paid their fee with your refund….you will be getting a paper check no matter what. Funniest thing is…I did this so im getting min e way late in July…however the kicker is…IM SO UNLUCKY THAT MY SSN ENDS IN 99!!

Yes, millions of people have gotten theirs by direct deposit.
A lot of people have thought they were getting direct deposit but for whatever reason aren’t, so are assuming they’ll get it earlier than they really are.
Check your bank statement from when the original refund came – if it says US Treasury you should be OK for direct deposit as long as that account is still open, and you didn’t split your refund into multiple accounts. Otherwise, you’ll get a paper check
