Best you call IRS to confirm that you are getting by electronic or by paper check. Read a news article last week that some electronic were mis-routed — even after refunds were properly deposited into the same account.

They send them out in order of your social security number..The lower the numbers of your last 2 numbers of your social (e.g) 01 and 02 would be the first to recieve their checks. My last numbers are 24 and I just recieved mine on Saturday. Good luck.

Check it here to see when your date is. You will need your ss # and your filing status (single, married filing joint, etc)

Go to. They have the payment schedule and a stimulus payment tracker to find out the status of your payment.

You were told that by whom? Or did you just look at the schedule and assume you were eligible for direct deposit?
A lot of people have thought they were getting direct deposit but for whatever reason aren’t, so are assuming they’ll get it earlier than they really are. For example, if you had a tax prep place do your return and had your fees taken out of your refund, you aren’t eligible for direct deposit.
Check your bank statement from when the original refund came – if it says US Treasury you should be OK for direct deposit as long as that account is still open, and you didn’t split your refund into multiple accounts. Otherwise, you’ll get a paper check
