2008 tax relief stimulus checks – I’ve now heard at least 3 or 4 different dates that the government will be sending out these rebate checks. The latest info I heard was on the radio this morning and they said that May 9th would be the day for those who filed electronically. Sometime in June will be the date for those who did not file electronically. I could really use the money and I wondered if anyone actually knew the truth about when to expect the payment.

The stimulus checks were supposed to boost the economy but it seems to only be getting worse. Does it take longer amount of time or something? I’d venture to say the majority of the people who got a check already have it spent.

Just got our letter… finally! It states the amount we’ll get, and then says You can expect your payment by 7/11/08. Well, do they actually mean its gonna get mailed out to us on the 11th., or should we actually be looking for it to arrive around the 11th. Anyone know from their own experience?

mine on the 30th. Does that mean it will be mailed out on the 30th or does that mean thats when I will get it? Also, I haven’t received any kind of notice, I read on the IRS’s website that there would be two notices sent out about the checks.
