How long does it take to receive your tax refund after it is said to be sent?

I went to https://sa1.www4.irs.gov/irfof/lang/en/irfofgetstatus.jsp that site to track my tax refund and it was said to be sent Feb 23rd. Does anyone know how long it’s going to take for me to get my check if living in SC? Thanks.

You all know what I’m talking about. But I haven’t heard anything about it since the beginning of February. Is it still up in the air or has it been shot down? Also, does anyone know the exceptions to the refund (tax brackets and so on).

Owe back federal tax’s but amount getting refunded will be enough to cover that and still get money back. How long will it delay the rest of the refund to get direct deposited? Longer than the normal 8-15 day’s?

I have interest only mortgage payments of about $1200, which i can completely deduct from my income on tax statements.
Income: 50K
Loan: 250K
No other deductions/No dependents
About how much will I see back in mytax refund at the end of the year?

In 2005, I received a distribution from an IRA. The IRA was my mother’s and she died in 2005. The money was somewhere between 16 and 17,000. I did not file a 2005 tax return. I want to do so asap and am curious as to whether or not I should expect any kind of a refund from this money??? Thanks very much!

I filed a 6 month extension for my 2007 taxes, and then 2 weeks later on April 30, I filed my 2007 tax return. It’s been 6 weeks, and no status from IRS website, so I called up and they said that it hasn’t even been proceesed yet because I filed an extension. I’ve never heard of an extension impacting a refund…is this correct? any advice on how to get my refund processed quicker?

So I heard that I can pay for my tuition normally, and write it on my taxes that I did that, and the government will re-imburse me in the form of a tax refund check(since my tuition is so cheap).
I am married…working part-time(aka poor) and my tuition is only 2000 a semester. me and my wife are both going to school too.
