In 2005, I received a distribution from an IRA. The IRA was my mother’s and she died in 2005. The money was somewhere between 16 and 17,000. I did not file a 2005 tax return. The tax refunds that tax payers are receiving that are seperate from the 2007 returns filed, are not being mailed out until May. Could this check received be this refund?
I received a tax return check recently and I did not sign any papers yet, so this can’t be for 2007 returns and the rebate checks are not being mailed until May, so what can this check possibly be for, if I went for my taxes and did not get the papers back yet to sign?

My ex’s Federal tax refund was intercepted for child support arrears. He had to call the FOC tax unit to authorize the return go toward arrears. According to FOC they sent the payment authorization to FMS on 4/29/08.Anyone know how long before I get it?
