So I heard that I can pay for my tuition normally, and write it on my taxes that I did that, and the government will re-imburse me in the form of a tax refund check(since my tuition is so cheap).
I am married…working part-time(aka poor) and my tuition is only 2000 a semester. me and my wife are both going to school too.

I am a student that worked around $11,000- $12,000 last year. I paid my taxes every paycheck. Last year when I filed for my taxes, I didn’t get anything back. Am I supposed to get something back? Do or did you guys get anything back. I know one friend who said she did. She told me I’m supposed to get all the taxes that I paid throughout the year back.

I filed my taxes in Mid-January. Last week conress announced that every tax paying adult will recieve $600 and $300 per child, in an attempt to avoid a recession. Since my taxes were already filed, am I not entitled to this extra tax break?

Last friday I filed my federal income tax online on efile…..and it told me I had to wait till it got approved or something like that…well its been a week and I still haven’t heard from them….I went back today to do my state, but it wouldn’t let me file my state till I heard back from the IRS about my federal…..is this unusual should I have heard from them already?

Any tax attornies out there? I haven’t filed taxes in five years. I think I owe about $25,000. Whats the best course of action? Can I negotiate it down? I had a nervous breakdown about 2 years ago and gave about $30,000 away to the homeless (the actual homeless, not documented homeless charities).
